On June 4, 1989 he was ordained as a Baptist Minister.
He married Katherine Jo Hawkins March, 2, 1967, in Midwest City.
He worked for Southwestern Bell as a Service Technician for 39 years before retiring in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Alderson, of Maud; son, Travis Sean Alderson, of Maud; daughter, Summer Artensia Alderson, of Shawnee; sister, Charlotte Ann Shelley, of Maud; and two grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Joe Alderson, and his wife, Frankie Jo Alderson.
He loved the lake, especially his place at Texoma Lake. He enjoyed the times spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Pallbearers are Frankie Walker, Mark Copeland, Billy Freeman, Wichita Blaine, Larry Bear, Fussy Lowery, and Burt Talbear.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2009, at Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church with Bro. George Harjochee officiating and burial at Hawkins Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be his son-in-laws, Harold Williams, Allen Beck, Roy Yargee, and Troy Yargee.
She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed dearly.
A memorial service was held Thursday July 9, 2009 at 4 p.m. She served as secretary of the Benevolent Fund, was a member of the Sunday School and ladies missionary society. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, L. Interment will follow at Wisner Cemetery, in Wetumka.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lovern De Loach. The casket will remain open until service time and will not be reopened following the service. He was born July 22, 1950, in Blackwell, to Leonard Joe Alderson and Charlotte A. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Bailey, and Donald Fry.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Adams, of the Home; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregg and Belinda Adams, of Seminole and Richard and Angie Adams of Macomb; daughters and son-in-law, Jamie and Travis Gates, of Shawnee and Laura Jean Mc Afee and sons, of Arkansas; grandchildren and their spouses, Brad and Lindsay Adams, Brandon Adams, Brittny Adams, Blake Adams, Beau Guinn, Megan and Josh Williams, Dax Gates and Bree Gates; one great grandchild expected, Ryder Scott Adams; sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Larry Whisenhunt, of Shawnee; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Doyle Ivester; longtime Special friends, Delbert and Barbara Aldridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
